I don’t know about you, but I hate when I’m sick. Sick and Lupus kind of goes hand in hand. About 6 years ago, I was sick with a cold or a flu every month and the kicker was that the symptoms would last for 3 weeks so in essence I was only well for 1 week a month before another sickness rolled my way. I have tried many things to start feeling better, but the best advise I received was to go see a Chiropractor that also dealt in functional wellness. He would test your body for problems with your various systems. When I first went in, he couldn’t even read my body since I was sooooo sick. He had me take some supplements and drink lots of water before he could even tell what was going on. I can remember being very overwhelmed with this type of doctoring. It didn’t seem like it was real or would even work. I spent loads of money and came home with Standard Process supplements and a powder to make shakes with. After the first 2 weeks my body was well enough to do a 21-day cleanse. I felt so good after the cleanse and as a side benefit, I lost 9 pounds. Since then, I was working on getting my body to a good place. The main thing was putting food in it that was healthy. Once I started eating better and doing daily walks, I started feeling great. During the pandemic I stopped going to my Chiropractor and now my body is back to needing help. I went back recently and started the cleanse again and I feel great again so the $$$$ is totally worth it. I’m hoping to continue being good with the food I eat and keep doing supplements that will also help heal my worn-out body. What is functional wellness? It is a natural way to detect the bodies malfunctions to prevent disease. The Doctor actually views your body holistically and brings your body in balance eliminating what is making you have symptoms. Sounds strange and it did to me too, but it works!!!!
